Real Minnesotans voting "no": Pastor Erik Strand

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Pastor Erik Strand, Edina Community Lutheran Church, has been a Lutheran pastor for 33 years, and has been married for 37 years. He is voting "no" on the anti-marriage amendment to Minnesota's constitution this November.

"As a Christian, I am a pastor who advocates that we include and welcome couples who are GLBT couples who want to make promises to each other....

"To me, there is more intrusion of the state by restricting marriage in this amendment than there is protection for religious communities."
